Next step is to load that game to the pre-game map screen. After owning all the provinces you want/need, save the game and quit out to the main menu. There is an upper limit to the number of provinces this will work with though, that I'll explain in a second. Keep doing that for all the provinces you'd like to have. That will end up just giving you the province outright as your country. You'll type 'own (province ID)' without the quotes and replacing province ID with the number of the province. Next you'll want to find out what provinces are needed for the achievement you want, or provinces that you'd like to own at start to make your life easier. Type in debug_mode to be able to see province ID's, and type in ti to remove the terra incognita from the map. After that, open up the console with the ~ key.
It's a pretty well known method you can look up on youtube, if you'd rather have a video method, by searching for custom nation exploit.Īll you have to do is start up a normal non-ironman game as the country that you would like to get whatever achievement you're going for. So this method of getting many of the achievements uses quite a bit of console commands and requires the El Dorado DLC, but you can pretty easily get some pretty rough achievements, and you can give yourself good starts as most any nation in the game.
